Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA)

Your faith journey is a gift of grace.  It begins with a call from God.  This call can take many forms. It can take the form of a deep spiritual hunger.  It might come through a friend or a spouse.  It may arise from witnessing God’s love in action.

RCIA is one way to respond to this call.  A ritual process by which adults become full members of the Catholic Church.  It is the culmination and fruit of conversion:  a turn toward Jesus Christ, and a decision to follow Him in His Church.

R.C.I.A. (Adult) ~ St. Bridget’s welcomes individuals interested in learning more about becoming Catholic or those who want to return to the Catholic faith after an extended absence. Adults can explore the teachings and traditions of the Church at their own pace. Once a decision is made to proceed toward Baptism or Profession of Faith, the candidates are assigned a sponsor and gently immersed into the life of Church.

R.C.I.A. (Children) ~ This program prepares children (Age 7+) for initiation into the Catholic Church. The format used depends on the number and ages of children participating.
