Dear Friends in Christ,
The 3rd Sunday of Advent is traditionally known as
“Gaudete Sunday,” which means “Rejoice” the Lord is
near. As the winter darkness and cold increase, making
many people feel sad and listless, this Sunday pulls us into
the light and warmth of the coming celebration of the
birth of our savior.

Members of all four parishes in the NE Catholic Community gathered recently to get to know each other and share hopes for how our Catholic Social Justice Ministries might take shape as we come together and how we can collaborate and support each other. We realized how much good work is already happening among us! Prayer and a delicious potluck enhanced the experience. If you are interested in learning more or discerning if your heart is being tugged toward addressing social problems through this parish ministry, contact Sr. Linda Riggers ([email protected]) or Katie Fleming ([email protected]) for info or ask to be added to the Justice and Peace email communications.
Attention Social Seniors in our NE Catholic Community! Are you ready to mix and mingle? This event is for you! Join us at St. Bridget Church on Wednesday, December 11, at 11:00 AM for a fun-filled cookie exchange. Please bring two dozen cookies to share—whether homemade or store-bought, all are welcome! To-go containers will be provided. We can't wait to celebrate and share this festive occasion with you!
