Our NE Seattle Catholic Community lives within a greater community of many different neighborhoods. St. Catherine’s is in Maple Leaf, OLL is in Wedgewood, Assumption is in Bryant Park, and St. Bridget’s is in Laurelhurst.
One of our neighbors in this part of the city is the community of Villa Academy. Initially founded by St. Francis Xavier Cabrini and her sisters, the school has served as an orphanage, boarding school, and, in recent years, a private independent pre-K-8 school in the Cabrinian tradition. Its beautiful campus and facilities welcome CYO sports teams from our three parish schools. Villa’s lovely school chapel is also a popular destination for couples celebrating their marriage.
This year is the 100th anniversary of Villa Academy's founding. Please join me in congratulating our neighbors at Villa for their 100 years of service in North Seattle and wishing them many more blessings in the years to come!
