One of my beloved Mother’s favorite songs was Andy William’s Christmas classic “The Most Wonderful Time of the Year.” That song has also become a favorite of parents with school-age children as they look forward to sending them back to school soon!
This time of the year is also an opportunity to plan for our children to continue their faith formation through our various parish opportunities; Children’s Church, CLOW, and sacramental preparation for First Reconciliationand Eucharist. Families with students in 7th-12th grades who have yet to receive the Sacrament ofConfirmation will hopefully enroll them in our prep program for that special gift of the Holy Spirit. Please allow room in your kid’s schedule to participate in these various spiritual growth opportunities for our young. Stay tuned for more information! Oh, and please also spread the word to any Adults you know who may be interested in being baptized or received into full communion in the Catholic Church, that the Order of Christian Initiation for Adults (OCIA) has begun. They are most welcome to join it. Check the bulletin or weekly parish emails for more information.
Andy Williams was so right: It’s the most wonderful time of the year!
