Dear Parish Family, We are pleased to share with you an important decision that has been made through the collaborative efforts of Partners in the Gospel: Our parish family is evolving. Change can be both exciting and daunting, encompassing a range of emotions for each one of us. However, we encourage you to see this as an opportunity - an opportunity for us to grow closer as a community, embracing the change with trust in the Holy Spirit. Today, we are announcing our parish family will consist of Assumption, Our Lady of the Lake, St. Catherine and St. Bridget. Wondering what happens next? Our parish leadership is dedicated to strengthening our community bonds through a significant, multi-year change. We emphasize trust and transparency in decision-making and prioritize building relationships. Active engagement from each parishioner is crucial, and we encourage participation in community events, feedback, and discussions to shape our future. Although specific events are not yet planned, we urge everyone to stay informed and participate in upcoming opportunities. This transformative journey will not only reshape our parish but also foster new connections within our community. Now, you might be wondering about the practical aspects like buildings, mass times, and schools. Rest assured; the Archdiocese has made it clear that all decisions related to the operation of the new parish family will be made by the parish family itself. Our parish leadership is dedicated to transparency and inclusive decision-making. We ask for your support in staying informed – our parish website has a dedicated page providing all available information about this change, and a new bulletin board in the parish hall will be regularly updated as we progress. As we embark on this journey of change, let's draw inspiration from local examples, like the Boys in the Boat who came together to achieve great things, or from the steadfast faith of Mother Cabrini, whose picture graces the back of our parish. Trusting in the guidance of the Holy Spirit, we look forward to building new relationships with the other members of our evolving parish family. May this period of change be a time of growth, unity, and strengthened faith for us all. In Christ's love, St. Bridget Church Partners in the Gospel Leadership Team Fr.
