Dear Friends in Christ,

One of the calendars that order our life is the “Fiscal Year” which for most organizations begins July 1 and ends June 30.  FY 2023-24 is drawing to a close with some transitions in a significant line item in our parish budget, namely staff who serve the St. Bridget Community.

Amanda Cahill has submitted her resignation as our Pastoral Assistant for Children’s Faith Formation. She has done an excellent job in helping parents prepare to have their children baptized and receive the sacraments of reconciliation and eucharist for the first time. Amanda is probably most well known as the creator of our highly successful “Children’s Church” program which has been such a gift for families in our parish. While we will miss Amanda on our parish staff, I am delighted to report that she will continue to lead our Children's Church program as a volunteer. Thank you Amanda for your service and continued presence at St. Bridget’s!

In the past year and a half, we have also been blessed by the expertise and musical skills of Alex Kostadinov, who has served as the accompanist at our weekend Masses. Alex has resigned to take a similar position at St. Luke Parish in Shoreline. His last weekend with us will be June 22-23. Please join me in thanking Alex for his fine service and wishing him well in his new ministry.

June is also a time to welcome new folks who will serve our community. Next week you will learn more about the new full-time Vicar for our Parish Family, and two other senior priests who will serve our four parishes on a part-time basis. Let’s  be sure to thank the Lord who always provides for our needs!
