“Jesus said, ‘For this reason a man shall leave [his] father and [his] mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh.’ It [marriage] is a great mystery, but I speak in reference to Christ and the Church” (Ephesians 5:31-32, cf. Mark 10:7-8).
The Sacrament of Marriage is the sacred partnership of life and love, forged by God. Engaged couples desiring to be married at St. Bridget or the Villa Academy Chapel are asked to contact Father Haydock at least four months before their planned wedding date.
Couples preparing for marriage will complete a meaningful preparation process specially designed to help them enter into the gift and mystery of married love. At St. Bridget, we celebrate weddings for members of our parish family and their children. With special permission, we welcome non-members to celebrate the Sacrament of Marriage.
